Precautions for GCL construction
1. The site should be kept relatively dry during construction, and the base surface can be wet, but there should be no water accumulation.
2. The laying, connection and interface of the GCL should meet the design requirements and construction specifications, and be firm and stable, without hollowing, damage, slippage, warping, wrinkling and other phenomena.
3. If the impermeable blanket is damaged during the laying process, a pair of GCLs larger than the damaged surface by 30cm ~ 50cm must be cut and covered, and the surrounding area should be coated with bentonite waterproof slurry. 4. After the GCL is laid and inspected, the construction of backfill shall be carried out simultaneously to avoid trample and damage.
5. The GCLs should be stacked in the designated place on the site, and be cushioned to maintain a certain distance from the ground, and covered with plastic film to avoid rainwater immersion, sunlight and moisture.
6. If it rains during the construction process, it should be covered immediately with plastic film materials or rain shielding materials to avoid rainwater soaking and washing the waterproof layer and affecting the construction quality. When the rain is large and the bentonite swells by more than 300%, it should be laid again.
7. The equipment or truck cannot be placed directly on the GCL, and the cover must be set to work.
8. When laying, it is strictly forbidden to put an open flame or cigarette butt on any side of the GCL, and it is strictly forbidden for construction personnel to wear spike shoes.
9. During the construction, if the construction party encounters unclear drawings or the construction site does not conform to the design of the drawings, it should be notified to the designer in time and properly resolved through consultation.
10. For other unfinished matters, the national and local acceptance standards and operating specifications shall be followed during construction.
